The key technology of StereoFree is the optical screen. When a projector displays an image on this screen, it directs all rays into a small spot in space. When the projector is moved, the spot moves too. Thus by using an array of projectors it is possible to create an array of spots separated by the interocular distance. This creates a multiview autostereoscopic display.
An example of a single view display based on this principle is shown in the scheme below.
